This blog is a project of the Adult Christian Education ministry of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Waldorf, Maryland. Adult Christian education goes beyond the basics of what we believe and why we worship as we do. It aims to help with integrating those beliefs into the complexities of living in a secular world.
Many see religion as a collection of “shalts” and “shalt nots”. It is so much more than that. It is an understanding of life that gives it meaning and substance. It takes the sting out of events and circumstances we would rather not experience. It draws us closer to our families, our communities, our God, and our true selves. If you can imagine being perfectly comfortable with yourself and where life has taken you, then you can see where this project is going.
